Jacqueline de Belleville
7 StoriesThe adventures and misadventures of Jacqueline de Belleville during the era of the French revolution and the Napoleonic Wars (1789-1815). Orphaned and penniless, Jackie has a body men are willing to die for, and a few get their wish. Life isn't kind to Jackie, but she is a survivor whose intelligent mind and friendly disposition more than makes up for a constant lack of money.
This six part series of short stories (approximately 10,000 words each) is inspired by L.A.Meyer's ‘Bloody Jack’ books. A few of the characters in this story are (very) loosely based on L.A.Meyer’s characters. However the plot, setting and most of the characters are my own creation.
An epilogue "Jacqueline's Legacy" added in 2024.
