  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

The SNP's position is that Scotland will keep the pound but without any of this happening. When asked why it won't happen, they say that it won't.

Yeah. The SNP, particularly Alex Salmond are quick to brush it off as a non issue and change the subject when this is brought up. An England-free socialist utopia are what the SNP are promising. But what they are offering is a pipe dream.

Their marketing is essentially to portray Scots that are not seeking independence as lesser Scots. Using emotional arguments and peer pressure to make people's minds up. Because economically and politically it is just simply worse than remaining in the Union. Particularly if they want to fully integrate into the EU as a new country.

The scots signed the Treaty of the Union. This was to be a sharing of wealth and resources, an equal partnership so to speak.
Over the years we have been subjugated by the English.
I wasn't taught Scottish history, wasn't allowed to speak "Lallans" at school, being physically punished if I did. Always being told that being scottish wouldn't get me anywhere in life.
Well, it's time now to break free of the yoke of English tyranny.

The film Braveheart is not History; it is a fictional story based around real characters, most of whom did not live at the same time periods and many of whom had no part of events depicted in the movie.

The film Titanic is also fiction. Same as the events depicted in U-570. It was Royal Navy who captured a German submarine with an Enigma machine. The British invented sonar and radar. The P 51 was designed to a British military specification. Britain invented the aircraft carrier. And on and on. This is not to 'put anyone down,' - is simply states that popular opinion gathered through Hollywood is not neccesarily - or even often, true.

As for the original point; Should Scotland become Independent? Well, that is up to the good people of that Land.

The only thing I would like about it is apparently I could have a Scots Passport - my Mother having been born there. Whereas I cannot get a United Kingdom one. I could have, had it been my Father who was born there, but alas, not Mum. :(

Personally, I doubt a proliferation of smaller and smaller nations is a good idea. Could you imagine Germany back to before 1870? And what about America - a separate California or Texas? I believe the former would be the World's 5th biggest economy so it could be argued it could make sense. I don't know about Texas but it didn't work out last time round. Perhaps it should be given back to Mexico, along with the rest of the territory you stole off of them? But then again, you nicked all of it off of the Injuns in the first place eh?

Your history is more than a little off. Scotland didn't "rejoin" the United Kingdom. It formed it in conjunction with England/Wales in 1707. It coalesced as it's own independent nation in the early Middle Ages.
