It's now been 10 years since I wrote "Memorial Day: Human and Heroic" and posted it to the site. It's as poignant to me now as it was then.
I hope you all find time to reflect on Memorial Day today; what it means to you, what it means to those of us to have lost brothers and sisters in arms, and what it takes to keep a nation free.

I know. It's been so long. So long but... I love you all and can't give you anything less than my best. You deserve better. And while I want to finish P2 I have this idea, this glorious fantasy in my head.
I'm going to write it tomorrow. You and me, super rough (draft) if you don't mind. But I know you like it rough (draft), even a little raw. Forgive though little typos, because you know it's all for you babe!

Howdy fellow pervies,
Wanted to let you guys know I'm finally, three years later, in the end game for P2. After a couple trips to DC, actually walking the layout of where I want my climax to happen (spoiler much? haha) I'm wrapping up all my parts and pieces. Now it's the process of linking all the little vignettes together, editing them because, let's face it, I'm a terrible writer on the first pass, then posting as I get things back from my fabulous and ever patient beta.
This has been a tough story to finish because work has been sapping all my bandwidth, creative and otherwise.

While I lost my laptop, the hard drive and all my precious, precious writing was saved! Well, mostly. I may have lost a day's worth of writing but nothing I can't rewrite.
So, I've got a new laptop and am back in the saddle as it were.

It's true, I won't lie; I'm a huge shit show. With that stated up front, P2 is unfortunately on a halt because I knocked an entire cup of tea onto my laptop, frying the damn thing.
The good news is that I didn't lose everything, I had backups on Google and back up to my external quarterly...
The bad news is that I was scheduled to back up on 01 October so my external is out of date and Google Drive was the best I had... and I lost all the notes/writing I did last week.
If you could see me right now, I'm grinding my teeth in frustration.
Wish me luck as I probably pay inordinate amounts of money to resurrect my drive at least and go shell out for a new laptop. (Its cool, I didnt need to eat this month) *eye roll*
